Natural cork lines the entryway surface
The bleached maple floors were completely replaced with dark brazillian hardwood

            

 

DVDs and other media are stored in these under-bench drawers

The extra-large sofa sectional is open at one end to avoid visually cutting off the rest of the room
The surround audio and video wiring was done in-wall to keep the look as clean as possible

 

 

 

 

 

The kitchen backsplash uses brushed stainless steel mosaic squares

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Synthetic caesar stone countertop was built to appear coninuous, all the way around from the kitchen to the entryway

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sandblasted glass seperates the entryway from the living area. The ottoman with lucite feet was built specifically for the space between the sofa and bench
We've known for some time that we're leaving Los Angeles at the end of 2008. With that in mind, we attempted to create our ideal living space for our last few years in the city. Once again enlisting the aid of Idea Space Design, we began planning this year-long project in in April of 2005, and now it's finally complete. Now all we need is some artwork...
