Our first week with Lia was awesome. She's doing great and we've been able to get a decent amount of sleep (knock on wood).

Chris extended her visit by a week, which is great because she's a huge help. Plus, Elliot REALLY likes having her around!

On Saturday we went to West Seattle and spent a couple of hours at Alki beach. I got to fly my kite that I haven't flown in 10 years. We were joined by Haley, Liam, Charlie, and Mac.

I'm going to work this week, then take two weeks off. So the plan will be to get some more work done around the house in preparation for Elliot's big birthday bash at the end of the month.

There's a lot of work to do...

"Here's to being able to finally drink again! Cheers!"

Mom and Lia rest on the new glider chair.

Elliot and Dad poke the water with sticks at Alki Beach.

"OMG Jacqueline, Mom fell in the water again!"

"Big-brother work is hard.. So after a tough day on job, I like to kick off my dusty boots, hang up my chaps, and unwind with a nice cheesy rice cake."

Elliot and Chris work on their throwing arms.

This baby is relaxed.

"Hey dad, isn't there yard work that needs to get done?"

Lia takes another nap on grandma's lap.

Elliot got to hold his sister all by himself.

Elliot keeps a sharp lookout on the horizon for any boys who might try to mess with his baby sister.

Lia's feet are so small they're almost see-through.
