July 28th, 2007 Nick and his girlfriend, Kelsey have been visiting for a couple of weeks. They've been hitting all the usual spots, but have also gone scuba diving in Catalina, visited Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and Disneyland.
Two months of Los Angeles Living remain... Five years of planning is finally transitioning from abstract day-dreaming into prickly objective reality. This strange and exciting time has finally arrived. There are so many things to arrange and deal with before we move that it's hard to really think about our new lives much, and how things will be changing. This entire mega-phase of our lives has been both a fu#ked-up and brilliant ride. And, it's been a long ride as well. 7 years and 4 months of crazy times punctuated by brief moments of relative normalcy. Because we spent so much of our time together here, we'll always feel like it's a part of us, a weird, exciting, and colorful home in our memories. It will always seem a little brighter, happier, and friendlier than it really is, which is okay. But more than anything else, we're pretending that we won't miss the blue skies and warm sun every day.

Nick bonds with his tiny nephew-cousin.
Nick and Elliot get more "familiar".
Hanging out down in Hermosa Beach. Nick is trying to take her down while looking innocent. It's hard to see it, but that's what he's doing.
Elliot talks to his grandma Chris up in Canada.
"Okay, here's my proposal: I'll let you sleep an extra 10 minutes tonight if we can move a week early!"
Down at the pool, Elliot gets his first swimming lesson with mom and dad.
"Mom, please don't let me go, ok?"
Elliot makes his cool face.

Here's a movie of Nicole's tummy progress, that shows her growing...
Nick tries his take-down move again, but Kelsey just stands and smiles.
After their talk, he thinks about how much he misses her and wants to move up to Bellevue where he can see her all the time.
"I just pooped and it was a good one this time. Check it out!
Elliot is starting to make some of his first little voice sounds! (9 mb. quicktime movie)
"You'd better not let me go, dad!"
Can anything be more cute than a naked baby in a pool? Luckily, he'd just pooped before we got in.
"Dad, you just made my shades go all crooked, dummy!"
