Hard to believe the giant countdown is over. What started out as "A few years" stretched into 7 years, 4 months. Chris has flown down to help us move with Elliot. My new company is paying for everything including the packing and unpacking of our stuff, and we're using good (supposedly) movers. That's at least one less thing to be worried about. The condo is still being shown and hasn't sold yet, but we've lowered the price considerably to make it more competitive and help it sell faster. The market here is pretty much back to normal, with few speculators running around, and properties sitting for a while before they actually sell. We had one offer so far but it was a brutal low-ball. Our hopes are high for something to happen in the next couple of weeks. Aside from that gnawing ball of anxiety, things have wrapped up beautifully at work with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune! The game is amazing, and is the best project I've ever been involved with. I'm truly proud to have been a part of it. I'll miss my co-workers a lot, because they're really like a family to me. After so many years, many of them have become such close friends. But our new lives will be full of new people and exciting adventures in the Pacific Northwest! We can't wait to be close to so much family all in one place! Speaking of family, Paisley and Peter have a new baby girl, Amelie Rae! And, Haley is expecting a new baby boy in the next few months, so Elliot will have a little dude in the family almost the same age! Just 5 more days until we move! We should have another update around Halloween...

Airplane Rides!! Chris spends the morning entertaining her tiny grandson, much to his delight.
Elliot uses his powers of old-school Russian hypnotism to mesmerize you.
"Hey mom, go wash off my soother before I have to squirt ya!"
"Aww could I be any cuter? Maybe with some bunny ears...or kitty whiskers... or maybe a curly pig's tail!"
It's sad when they grow out of clothes that were cute and expensive, but it's fun when they can wear bigger stuff that was too big before!
His little jeans fit pretty well now. He's thinking, "Thanks, Grandma Chris!"
This hoodie was the first thing we ever bought him, and it finally fits -mostly.
And really, can you blame him for staring at himself?
"Oops, looks like you should put that beer down and clean my face, pale gorilla-man!"
Elliot loves pumpkins because he is one.
Elliot reluctantly stands on a pumpkin, and feels sad for having to disrespect one of his own just to get a photo. |
After weeks of being apart, Tiny Boy is re-united with his grandma.
"All this condo-cleaning makes me wanna sneeze!"
He chews on his fist a lot, and he'd probably put the whole thing in his mouth if he could.
Elliot thinks his mom is purty. Almost as purty as he is. In fact, he's mistaken for a girl most of the time -even with blue outfits on.
Our friend Maya spent an evening with us and the little guy. You can tell he's really uncomfortable around beautiful girls.
Nicole whispers some secrets about being purty to her lil' boy, who ignores this because he can see his own reflection in the camera lens.
If this is the face he makes when he asks to borrow the car for the first time, we're doomed...
He loves seeing himself in the mirror.
Then seems to realize we live on the 10th floor, and he gazes out at the city.
Of course, we had to side-step the paparazzi who were there to get candid shots of poor Mark Wahlberg who was just trying to buy a friggin' pumpkin with his kid.
Tiny Boy got charged 20 bucks for his tummy because the people at the checkout counter thought it was a pumpkin. Ok, not really.
Back at the condo, Bob takes a minute to pose with his lil' grandson. |
