Elliot had much more fun getting into the spirit of Halloween this year, than he did last year. When he was only 4 months old, he didn't really get it.

So this year was a lot more fun!

We all met up early at Paisley and Peter's house in Kirkland. By 4 pm everyone was there, and the kids started getting dressed up.

We got him a lion costume and painted up his face with whiskers. He didn't really like the face-painting part, but the nice thing about having two adults apply face paint is you have 4 hands.

Suzy and Hawk joined us, along with Sheila (who has moved to the Bellingham from Wisconsin).

The trick-or-treating was awesome, and the kids got to visit a couple dozen well-decorated houses around the neighborhood. It seemed like there were a lot of kids out -more than last year...

The King of the Jungle displays his proud mane, nose, and of course, whiskers.

Princess Leia (played by Charlie) looks up to space, possibly in search of Obi Wan...

"Lots of candy, we will find Leia ... Hmm-hm-hm-hm-hm!"

Maclin, performing his spot-on impression of Yoda.

Cora kept assuring the rest of us that she wasn't a "stinging" variety of fairy.

Carlene, Kelly, Kyla, and Cody take a break from tick-or-treating to pose for Camera-Guy.

"You vant a date mister? You can have uz boze for two hundred American dollars. Zink you can handle it, boy?"

Amelie's favorite thing about her big outfit was being able to shake her head back and forth, to flop the antennae. (Sorry, no video)

Leia sees a Stormtrooper and squeaks, "Oops, I was just lightly patting my pet droid, R2 on the head, I wasn't jamming the secret plans to the Death Star into his collar."

Luckily, Morgan finished his shift fighting fires with the Kirkland FD just before trick-or-treating started.

Greg and Molly pause for a shot with their son Abe and daughter Kate.

Elliot (on the left) braves on of the many well-decorated porches.

Late that night the kids cluster around the TV to watch the "Great Pumpkin" Charlie Brown special.
