The 2004 Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival happens every year, and this was our second time going.

We got to see the Pixies, Radiohead, The Cure, Le Tigre, The Flaming Lips, and Air.

Next time we're going to stay somewhere smaller and better. But that means making reservations at least 6 months in advance. 4 months won't cut it.

Can I get a "what-what?"

We stayed at the Spa Resort & Casino... not recommended, but at least there was vacancy.

Air plays the main stage.

This robotic death-arm thought it was really tough when it tore up the defenseless dishwasher.

I wish I had a better camera and a tripod with me sometimes.

We bought Churros from this photogenic vendor dude.

The bathroom situation is always the worst part of Coachella...next to parking.

Thank god for AC.

It's always nice to see girls waiting for other girls to get ready...

Sunset over the desert.

This massive Tesla Coil was freaking everybody out, especially us. You could hear and feel how deadly it was from very far away. Getting even this close was unsettling.

Sizing up the Tesla Coil...

I think running toward this would be the worst way to go.

Radiohead from a range of about 1000 feet. At least it sounded good.

I'm just too old to elbow my way up to the nosebleed section anymore.

The entire sky above is lit with about 16 searchlights that form a huge pyramid.

Smooching after the Cure.
