Rob, August 28, 2003 The 15-foot Retaining Wall of Despair We're expanding our back yard by 3 feet along the entire width of the property. Actually, our back yard is a hillside, and we need to put up a retaining wall in order to get a 15 foot setback from the house. This setback is the magic number the building codes require if we're to do the second storey we want... Rob, August 28, 2003 Mailbox Gets a Little Love Our poor mailbox endured the shame of disrepair for years before receiving this make-over. The frame was hand cut with a skill saw using questionable methods, and the tile was purchased special order from The Great Indoors, as was the knob. There's an identical door on the other side of the brick column. :   |
Rob, August 28, 2003 The Big Vacation We're leaving for Hawaii on September 10th! 5 nights on Maui and 7 nights on Kauai. We're booked for a 2-tank dive of the Molokini Crater, and an all-day private horseback ride across Kauai. Many pics and movies will be posted here upon our return. |
